Well I slept on it and woke up with the same headake that I left with. I am still sold on the fact that the new PC doesnt reconize the key, therefor it shuts down. Spoke with one of the machanics at work and told him this situation and listened to what he thought. He didnt have anything new to say that we didnt try last night. Once I told him about possability of the key and PC not matching, he remembered that he did have the same problem once with the owner of the company's Jeep. (Had the wrong key cut and he said it had the exact same problem with it starting and shutting itself down. He also agreed that when we were playing with the throttle, and it was running for longer than 5 sec, we were most likely "confussing" the PC into stay running
Here is something else I found, I know I looked at the relay and it looked good, but didnt switch it out with any of the others VVVVV ASD (automatic shutdown) relay- The circuit to this relay is controlled by the computer to give power to the fuel system, specifically the injectors, o2 sensors, coil, CPS and others. This relay is located in the PDC but can be wired individually if you do not have the PDC.
I will keep thinking about it.

I would take apart the throttle body and clean all the sensors with carb cleaner.. We looked and the green XJ with mashed rear looks to have the same throttle body and sensor setup. 4 bolts and some wire connectors, quick swap???

Scott,
From what I can tell you are correct with the security key. I will be calling Aberham tomorrow to try to get his key..

If you get his key, we can always cut the two in half and TIG weld your ignition cut part to the other part that matches the computer...haha ;D ;D No guarantees that the chip wont be a puddle of plastic See if you can get his ignition to so you can swap them and not have to recut a $70 key, unless you had that in mind already.

I did a ton of reading last night about the Sentry key nonsense, and, all I can say is that I am glad I don't have a newer vehicle. I found some new blank transponder keys on eBay for $13 shipped, but you would have to get them programmed at the dealer. That is, unless you have access to a DRB-III scanner.
What a mess...

I ordered two ned SKIM keys off of ebay and took them to jeep in Greenwood. They programmed new keys to new vin and cut them to old vin.
All is good.
